In what will be a rematch of last year’s championship, Liverpool will play Real Madrid in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League in 2022–23.

In May, Los Blancos defeated the Reds 1-0 in Paris as they won their 14th European Cup. However, the Spanish team’s title defence will continue when they meet Jurgen Klopp’s team in the round of 16.

Manchester City will face a challenging opponent after being paired with German team RB Leipzig.

City finished the group stage unblemished, earning 14 out of a potential 18 points against Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, and Copenhagen.

Madrid came in last for Leipzig in their group.

Club Brugge will play Benfica in the round of 16 after reaching the knockout stage for the first time in their history.

In their match in the competition, AC Milan will face Tottenham Hotspur, and Inter and Porto will also square off.

Paris Saint-Germain will play Bayern Munich in the round of 16, with the result being a rematch of the final from 2020. Kingsley Coman made the winning decision in the most recent final matchup between these two teams.

Chelsea of the Premier League will play Dortmund in the other match.

The opening legs of the round-of-16 matches will be played on February 14, 15, 21, and 22. The return dates are scheduled for March 7, 8, and 14. Everyone who is still competing in the event hopes to go to the final on June 10 in Istanbul.
