Today, November 9, 2022, the State is anticipated to present its case against Chinese galamsey queen, Aisha Huang.

With the evidence of its first witness, this will get started.

Despite the continuing trial at the Circuit Court, Aisha Huang is now being tried on criminal charges at the High Court.

The charges in the High Court include conducting a mining activity without a license, encouraging others to participate in a mining operation, hiring foreigners without authorization, and returning to Ghana while doing so is prohibited.

In this High Court case, the State disclosed that it has lined up 11 witnesses, with the first one set to testify today.

Yvonne Atakorah Obuobisa, the director of public prosecutions, has also intimated that the witnesses will provide a variety of audio-visual evidence.
