As some of the best Ghanaian musicians release new music in October, music fans in Ghana and around the world will be upgrading their playlists.
In order for you to update your playlist as soon as the project is released, we have gathered a list of Ghanaian artists that will be releasing albums this month along with the official release date.
The projects expected this month range from full-length albums, to singles, collaborations, and extended plays.
Black Sherif
The multifaceted act, Black Sherif, real name, Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong broke the internet when he announced the release of his debut album; “The Villain I Never Was”.
On Thursday, October 6th, the project will be made available on all streaming services.
Announcing his debut album, Black Sherif wrote:
It took me everything to give life to this body. The one thing in my life that I gave everything up for. There is life in this body, I hope it treats you good and speaks to you like I want it to. My debut album, “The Villain I Never Was” Available on all stores on October 6, 2022. Thank you, Love you.
Shatta Wale
You may recall that the head of SM, Shatta Wale, real name Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., announced the official release of his eagerly anticipated album, “Gift Of God,” during his performance at the 2022 Summer Stage Festival in New York.
The CEO of SHAXI and creator of the hit song “Taking Over” revealed that “Gift Of God”(GOG) would be released on Monday, October 17, 2022. However, following the release of the studio album with a stellar cast, he made his retirement announcement.
Wendy Shay
The extended play, Enigma, by Ghanaian singer Wendy Asiamah Addo, popularly known as Wendy Shay in the entertainment industry, will be released after she has given fans two smash songs, Survivor and Warning. By posting pictures of herself wearing personalized Enigma merchandise, the singer has been teasing the album, which is slated to be released on Friday, October 21, 2022 on all digital music stores.
Amerado
Amerado, who is actually Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, will be providing his listeners with a wonderful work titled “G.I.N.A,” which is an acronym for “God Is Never Asleep.”
The singer of “Yeete Nsem” stated that the album’s release date on all digital music streaming services was set for Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
