After four years of marriage to Chidera, Nollywood star Gideon Okeke called it quits.
The father of two requested Nigerians to pray for his family but withheld the details of their breakup.
After their traditional wedding in Abagana, Anambra State, in December 2018, the pair had a stunning white wedding ceremony on April 21, 2019. The couple has two sons.
The actor rose to prominence in 2006 after competing in the inaugural season of Big Brother Nigeria and for his part in the critically acclaimed Nigerian drama series Tinsel. On the other hand, his wife founded the talent agency Catch 22 Model and works as a talent scout.
He made this separation known on his InstaStories on Sunday. Although troubles in their marriage had surfaced earlier in August 2022.
Breaking the news, he wrote “You wouldn’t believe it if I told you that I’m separated from My marriage, right? No, you wouldn’t…so grab a seat. It is in the interest of clarity and a clear conscience that this becomes imperative. But yea… Breakfast reach me too. Las Las.(sic)”
“It’s been a hard hot pill I’ve had to swallow, boy. It sure humbles one. This PSA wouldn’t be so important (to Me), but for the trap that I find FAME to be sometimes gagged”.

Rumours of the couple’s intention to end their four-year marriage as a result of irreconcilable differences abounded in August. There have been persistent rumours that the couple is no longer together for some time.
According to a few rumours, Okeke and Chidera haven’t been very close.
They did, however, go together to their son’s school birthday celebration in July. It was their first outing in public in a while.
