Many users of pornography struggle with a compulsive need to consume pornography so powerful that it disrupts and destroys their professional and family lives. Your productivity practically vanishes when you feed your brain with so much porn activity.
Pornography makes us largely self-conscious about sex and our bodies and gets us wondering why we don’t have endowed bodies like those in porn films. A lot of people tend to take it far by means of cosmetic procedures which can in long term, affect the body, physically and mentally.
People also take advantage of insecurities others have about their bodies to boost their market by selling “enlargement or tightening” pills, creams and edibles.
Many teenagers and even little kids of today are exposed to harmful sites via easy access to the internet. Most people choose the “porn route” to learn about sex and their bodies and in some ways, base relationships on that.
What You Don’t Know
Pornography influences relationships and sexual expectations, destroys your motivation, confidence, and self-esteem and also interferes with your sexual performance.
Porn inadvertently makes you angry. You might not notice it now, but you’ll get there in time. The more porn you watch, the more of it you seek in order to get the same “high”. It’s like a drug junkie who becomes desensitized to a specific dose. Over time, the junkie requires a higher dose in order to experience the same high. Eventually (and unfortunately), higher doses inevitably lead to overdose.
When you seek more and more porn, you reach the point where you’re never satisfied. This amount of effort is what stresses you out and begins making you angry.
In sum, pornography is a deeply damaging social influence that corrodes relationships, erodes the sensibilities and sexual freedom of consumers, and dehumanizes those used to make it.
