“To see him like this with you makes me feel like getting rid of you for good.” She added sinisterly.

I froze.

“Come to think of it, Winston should have done that task and not made me go through this. He just left you without doing much. Now I have to do most of the work. How stressful!”

“Vee”, she whispered into my ears sending chills through every bone. Watch where you step from now on because I would be watching. And before you know it, your bags and your pitiful self would be out of this house. My house. Advise yourself in your sleep and do the needful. Leave.”

The next thing I heard was the door shutting and dead silence. To be sure she is indeed out of the room I waited for a few seconds before opening one eyelid after the other. The room was stark dark and quite scary. Especially after the life-threatening speech, I received from my cousin.

The rest of the hours passed too slowly. It carried along an oddly serene ambience which screamed “you’re not welcome here, Velma”. But what was I to do? I felt the shame for real this time. Knowing I was like a divorcee who was wrecking someone’s home made me feel pathetic. To top it up with the knowledge that it’s my cousin’s home; such a shame!

I propped myself against the comfy pillow to better adjust myself and that was when it clicked. Opeibea has not liked me since she knew how to read and write and has always wished nothing but the worst for me.

What if this is God’s way of letting me feel how it is to be on the other side?

This could be it!

That is why I have been placed in this situation. I’m super sure of it. I looked up.

“God if this is your will show me a sign”. I whispered into the dark.

Maybe coincidence or maybe not, a cold wind gushed into the room. I chose to go with the latter option. I was going to make Opeibea feel how it is to be hated, trampled upon and left by the garbage cans. I was going to let her see the other side of life she never wished to experience.

  1. A large percentage of of the things you state happens to be astonishingly legitimate and it makes me ponder the reason why I had not looked at this in this light before. This article truly did switch the light on for me personally as far as this particular subject goes. However at this time there is actually one position I am not necessarily too cozy with so whilst I make an effort to reconcile that with the central theme of your point, allow me observe exactly what all the rest of your subscribers have to point out.Well done.

  2. Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. Nevertheless think of if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and clips, this blog could certainly be one of the best in its field. Awesome blog!
