Mrs. Miracle Adoma, the wife of Kofi Adoma, the news director for Angel Broadcasting Network, fainted Friday night while being trailed by unidentified men on her way home.
According to reports, Mrs. Adoma was on her way home when she observed the mysterious guys following her in Agbogba, the same place where her husband had been attacked nearly a week earlier.
She then drove inside the Agbogba police station’s perimeter and took cover there.
She was supposed to be escorted home by officers, but she passed out in shock on the way and had to be transported to a local hospital.
Kofi Adoma, her husband, almost missed death last Saturday from an attack by an unknown individual when he was travelling on the Agbogba-Kwabenya route in the Ga East Municipality.
Kofi, who survived the attack, is still subject to several warnings, including WhatsApp messages that threaten to give him an acid bath.
As he stated earlier this year, the attackers had had the journalist on their radar for some time.
He claims that he has received a great deal of intimidation from strangers, including threats to make his life miserable.
It is unknown why his life is being threatened, but last year, several assailants on motorbikes approached his car and broke the windows while he was driving home.
No arrests have been reported by the police in relation to these assaults or threats.
His wife, Miracle Adoma, on the other hand, thinks that occasionally bad things happen for good.
In recent times, journalism in Ghana has been a very risky profession, with journalists like Ahmen Suale being killed, while other journalists have been threatened and even physically abused. This does not speak well of the democracy that we claim to practice, as an attack on journalists is an attack on the rights and freedoms of Ghanaians.
Job done well👏
Journalism is becoming scarier in Ghana o
Well done 👏
