In Southern California on Sunday, a motorcycle collided with “Aquaman” actor Jason Momoa’s car, inflicting minor injuries on the rider, according to authorities.
The Aquaman star is understood to have been driving his gold 1970 Oldsmobile on a bendy canyon road near Los Angeles when the crash happened at the weekend.
While the 42-year-old actor was unhurt, according to a California Highway Patrol incident report acquired by the Daily News, the incident happened close to Calabasas when the motorcycle rider “crossed over the double yellow lines into the eastbound lanes” while travelling around a curve on Old Topanga Road.
Local news outlet KTLA said the collision happened just after 11 am on Sunday morning.
The biker, identified as Vitaliy Avagimyan by authorities, was ejected from the motorcycle as it went “directly into the path” of Momoa’s 1970 Oldsmobile and struck the front-left side of the vehicle.
Momoa stopped a passing driver to ask them to call 911 after the incident and assisted Mr. Avagimyan until an ambulance arrived.
As a passionate rider, Momoa also owns a number of restored vintage motorcycles, including a few early Harley Davidson models.
Celebrity news website TMZ obtained dashcam footage from a passing cyclist showing what appeared to be the aftermath of the collision, as paramedics attended to the injured motorcyclist and Momoa returned to his vehicle.
Two fire trucks and police officers also attended the scene.
