Adele performed at a huge concert in London Friday night, her first live concert in 5 years and her first public show of the 30 era.
She took the stage as the headliner at London’s BST Hyde Park Festival. There were 65,000 fans screaming for her as she screamed back, “My God, I’m back at home!”
Adele said she was nervous but excited to be there. You can tell Adele missed doing concerts and hearing her fans singing her song.
“It’s so strange to be in front of a crowd again. I get so nervous before each show but I love being up here,” the “Hello” hitmaker added.
The pop superstar’s composure momentarily cracked as she took in the huge audience in London’s Hyde Park during the opening lines of Hello.
Some fans waited for 7 hours in the heat to get in, so Adele sent them water. She stopped her concert 4 times to check on audience members in attendance. A true heart of gold!
The singer emerged clad in an elegant black halter neck off-the-shoulder gown for the occasion, and revealed to the audience she was wearing black anti slip socks under the glamorous frock.
“I was told it was going to be slippery so wore these just in case,” the superstar told the audience as she showed them her socks.
Adele sang some of her new hits, including “Easy On Me,” “Oh My God,” and “I Drink Wine,” and dedicated the rest of her 15 songs to her previous albums and most famous smash hits.
She postponed her Las Vegas residency in January due to conflict and production issues. Adele is set to perform again on Saturday night to cap off her two-day stint at London’s BST Hyde Park Festival.
