Ghanaian musician and rapper, Medikal has allegedly been denied a US Visa.
According to reports, the “La Hustle” hitmaker was denied a visa to the United States on Tuesday, June 21 2022 after he had attended an interview at the Embassy in Accra.
His visa being denied could also be because of a gun he brandished in 2021, which led to his conviction. His fellow team member, AMG Armani was also denied a US Visa for a reason very much unknown.
It could be recalled in 2021 that the rapper was sentenced to serve a nine-month prison term or pay a fine of GHS 3,600 after he pleaded guilty to brandishing a gun.
The penalty came as a result of his change in stance from “not guilty to guilty” when he made such an admission in the Accra circuit court.
Chief Inspector Denis Terkpetey, who led the charge, said to the court, “We, the prosecution, are not aware that he wants to change his plea.”
Sources reveal that the presiding judge, His Honour Emmanuel Essandoh, also directed the prosecution to release the gun to him after questioning why the prosecution wanted to be pre-informed.
Medikal served a week sentence in jail at the Ankaful prison along with his very good friend, Shatta Wale, who had also caused public panic and fear with his fake shooting incident.
