Sadio Mane has signed a three-year, £35 million deal to leave Liverpool and join Bayern Munich.

The Reds will earn 32 million euros (£27.4 million), with an extra 6 million euros for appearances and 3 million euros for both individual and group accomplishments.

According to the Bayern president, Herbert Hainer, “Sadio Mane is a world star who underscores the appeal of FC Bayern and increases the attractiveness of the entire Bundesliga,” He added that it was for such unique footballers that the fans came to the stadiums.

In addition to scoring the game-winning penalty in February to help Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time, Mane assisted Liverpool in winning both the Champions League and the Premier League.

In a farewell interview for the Liverpool website, Mane said: “It is really strange to no longer be a Liverpool player but I had an unbelievable time. I am going to be Liverpool’s number one fan forever.”
